Brocaded Birka

This is the result of the combination of wool and a silver-plated 0.4 mm thick wire.

It was supposed to be a headband, but due to the wire at the edges that are catching hair, I recommend to use it with a medieval scarf or sewn on the top of a Viking apron dress.

Woven on 27 cards, 0.4 mm thick silver plated wire used as the weft.

Length 50 cm ends
Width: 3 cm

A pattern based on the finding of a brocaded band from Birka.
